What is a Pawllergy Test?

Pawllergy is a non-invasive food and environmental sensitive test for pets. Our furkids cannot talk like us. They often suffer in silence.

Excessive licking, scratching or shedding, slopping and sticky poop, itchy paws or frequent infections may be the result of food sensitivity or intolerance.

We provide an alternative, non-invasive test using Bioresonance technology to pick up more than 300 food and non-food sensitives, using just a small amount of fur.

What is a Bioresonance Technology?

Bioresonance testing is a non-invasive diagnostic technique used to identify food intolerances and sensitivities. It is based on the concept that each substance, including food, emits specific electromagnetic frequencies. Here's how it works:

Principle: Bioresonance is grounded in the idea that the body's cells communicate through electromagnetic signals. When your furkid is intolerant or sensitive to a particular substance, it is believed that this disrupts the body's natural electromagnetic field.

Sample Collection: Only a few strands of fur is required

Testing Process: The collected sample is exposed to a range of electromagnetic frequencies corresponding to different foods and non-food items. The bioresonance device then measures the body's response to each frequency.

Analysis: If the body exhibits a stressed or negative response to certain frequencies, it indicates a potential intolerance or sensitivity to the corresponding substance. The results are then compiled to identify which foods or items may be causing adverse reactions.

Benefits: Bioresonance testing is non-invasive, painless, and can test for a wide range of sensitivities in a single session. It can be particularly useful for pets experiencing unexplained symptoms that may be linked to food intolerances.

However, it's important to note that while some people and practitioners find bioresonance testing beneficial, it is considered a complementary or alternative method.

How accurate is the Pawllergy Test compared to a blood test at the vet?

The accuracy of food and environmental sensitivity tests for pets can vary depending on the method used. Bioresonance and IgG blood tests are two different approaches, each with its own strengths and limitations.

What is the difference between bioresonance and blood tests?

Bioresonance is a non-invasive method that evaluates sensitivities by measuring the body's energetic responses to various substances. It can provide valuable insights into potential sensitivities and intolerances but does not directly measure immune responses like an IgE blood test.

IgE blood tests, on the other hand, measure specific immune responses to various foods by detecting the presence of IgE antibodies. While this can indicate exposure to certain foods, it doesn't always correlate directly with clinical symptoms of sensitivity or intolerance.

It's important to note that food sensitivities in pets can develop and regress over time due to factors such as age, diet changes, and overall health. Because of this, no single test can provide a definitive or permanent answer to a pet's sensitivities. Both bioresonance and IgE tests can offer useful information, but they should be considered as part of a broader approach that includes ongoing observation and food trials.

Is the test accurate?

There is no test that is accurate, both human and dogs alike. While bioresonance and IgE tests can guide understanding your pet's sensitivities, they are not absolute.

Such tests serves as a guideline to help you kickstart your food elimination journey.

Regular monitoring and flexibility in your pet's diet and environment are key to managing their health effectively for a better quality of life.

Where do you do the sample testing at?

We currently run the test in house.

What is the difference between the Pawllergy Test and allergy test at the vet?

The Pawllergy Test uses Bioresonance therapy and testing are categorised as complementary and alternative medicine. This is a diverse group of therapies, practices and products, which fall outside of conventional medicine or healthcare.

The findings in the report do not make a medical diagnosis but are intended to assist in a functional medicine approach to digestive and general health issues. As this is not a test for allergies. If results indicate a high-level reaction, this suggests that there may be a sensitivity.

Allergies should be diagnosed by a qualified veterinary practitioner through a blood test or skin testing.

FUR COLLECTION

How do I collect my furkid’s sample?

Only a little sample is required. You may use the comb provided in your Pawllergy Kit, brush your furkid and drop the samples that has caught on to the comb into the collection bag provided. Watch the instructional video HERE.

If you have a furkid that does not shed easily, you may choose to pluck or cut some fur samples as close to the root as possible.

How much fur is required?

For long fur pets, we require between 5 to 10 strands of their fur

For short fur pets, we require between 10 to 20 strands of their fur

It is best to pluck or comb our the fur samples.

For breeds that does not shed, we recommend you to cut the fur samples as close as possible to their skin. If you are able to pluck about 5 to 10 strands of fur, that will be the best.

Are there any special preparations before sample collection?

No special preparation is required. You need not shower your pet specifically.

Do ensure that the fur sample is not covered in mud or poop.

My pet is on medication. Can I do the test?

We recommend you to finish any immunotherapy medications(oral or injection), and wait for 1 to 2 months before you do the test.

We are able to accept your sample if your pet is currently on steroid treatment, however, do speak to us and let us know your pet’s current condition, as testing might not help your pet if it is a recurring issue for a long time.

Does my pet need to show signs of food allergy to be tested?

You can do this test at any time. It serves as a guide or good-to-know for you to understand more about your furkid!

What is tested in the Pawllergy Test?

There are more than 250 food and non-food items tested for sensitivity reaction. Click HERE to see the full list. Do note that only items that has a reactivity will be reported in your furkid’s report.

Does my furkid have allergies based on the report?

The Pawllergy Test is not a test for allergies. If results indicate a high-level reaction, this suggests that there may be a sensitivity. You may try to eliminate food items that might suggest a sensitivity and monitor your furkid’s symptoms. A visit to the vet is still recommended if the symptoms persist and are bothering your furkid.

If this is not a test to diagnose my pet, why should I take this test?

Medical allergy tests done at the vet’s office is the most accurate. However, apart from the expensive price tag, the test procedures that may require a blood draw or multiple skin pricks can be stressful to your precious furkid. The Pawllergy Test offers a non-invasive method, and the results may serve as your guide to food elimination, at a fraction of the price.

How old would must my pet be to do the Pawllergy Test?

We recommend to test after 3 months of age.

How often do I need to test?

We recommend you to test yearly or bi-yearly as food sensitivities may develop and regress over age, dietary changes and overall health. This is to help you manage your pet’s dietary choices.

However, if your pet is overall healthy and not battling with symptoms, you may choose not to retest.
